Making a Real Difference
Our strategy is simple and straightforward: KIND will serve
children wherever they face the immigration system alone.
KIND is working to ensure that unaccompanied children in the
United States are treated fairly and that their rights are
protected and respected. KIND's goal is to make a real difference
in the lives of these children.
Small and Flexible
KIND has a nimble infrastructure of pro bono coordinators that
assign, monitor, mentor and coordinate legal representation
provided by law firms and corporate legal departments in our
targeted cities. Our efforts are focused on putting resources to
work where unaccompanied children are alone and at-risk.
KIND is also partnering with NGOs with expertise in working with
unaccompanied children. KIND provides fellowships for attorneys and
paralegals at NGOs to dedicate their time and talent to exclusively
represent unaccompanied children.
Building public awareness and support
KIND also advocates for changes in U.S. laws to better protect
the rights of unaccompanied children.
How you can help
KIND needs compassionate and committed volunteers who can help
make a real difference the life of a child who is in the U.S.
alone. Attorneys, paralegals, law firms, corporate law departments
and translators are needed. Please contact us at
info@supportkind.org for more information.

"These children often have nothing; no money, no support
and no family, yet they come to America seeking its promises of a
better life."
