Wendy Ramirez

Wendy Ramirez has over nine years of experience in social justice and immigrant rights advocacy. She brings to KIND knowledge of project management, coalition building, strategic planning, and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, Wendy managed the operations of Health Lead’s family support desk, a resource utilized by medical providers at Children’s National Medical Center to connect patients to social support services. Prior to that, she managed the Immigrant Rights Program at the Equal Rights Center in Washington, D.C. At the Equal Rights Center, Wendy led the program’s coalition work, education and outreach, strategic planning, and the cultivation of relationships with agency partners. Her direct service experience includes case management for survivors of domestic violence and three years of immigration paralegal work at Ayuda, Inc. Wendy holds a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Mary Washington and a Masters of Social Work from George Mason University. She is a native Spanish speaker who was born in Guatemala.
