Alexandra Pender

Alex recently graduated from Union College in June 2010 where she earned her B.A. in American History with a minor in English. While attending Union, Alex wrote her senior thesis on Irish immigration, concentrating on political cartoons from the 19th and early 20th centuries in order to determine the types of political, social and economic discrimination many Irish immigrants faced when they first came into the United States. During the summer of 2009 she interned abroad in Dublin at the Library of Ireland. Upon graduation Alex was a summer intern for KIND headquarters in Washington, DC.
