New Supporters of KIND!

11233KIND is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Hogan Lovells LLP, a global legal practice that helps corporations, financial institutions, and governmental entities with critical business and legal issues. The firm, which has 2,300 lawyers and more than 40 offices in the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia, has committed to working with KIND in all of the cities in which KIND and Hogan Lovells have offices. KIND greatly appreciates the enthusiasm of Hogan Lovells' pro bono leadership and the many pro bono attorneys who have already taken KIND's training and are representing KIND clients. We look forward to a very productive partnership that helps change the lives of many unaccompanied children forever.

In addition, KIND was recently awarded grants from the Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. Funding from these foundations will support the recruitment, training, and retention of additional volunteer pro bono attorneys to provide free legal counsel to unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children served by KIND’s Baltimore field office. The Morton K. and Jan Blaustein Foundation is committed to many worthwhile humanitarian goals including the advancement of fundamental human rights both in the United States and abroad. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation is one of the largest private foundations in the United States whose sole purpose is to assist financially disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and families through its grant-making. Both foundations are new philanthropic partners for KIND and we honored to be included among their grantees for 2012.
